Playing ONE WEEK ONLY!!

SEPTEMBER 2-7

Produced & Directed by BRENDAN RAGOTZY

(Augusta, MI)  Due to popular demand, the Barn Season has extended its schedule to include the cult classic favorite we all know and love, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, playing for one week only, September 2-7.  Joining the company for the Barn Theatre’s 9th reincarnation of its most popular production, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, FEE WAYBILL of the rock group The Tubes will reprise his role stars as Dr. Frank ‘N’ Furter.  THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW opens Tuesday, September 2 at 8:30pm.

The story of THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW is a parody of old horror and science fiction movies, in a style that combines a rock show and a transvestite chorus revue.  A presumably decent, conservative couple named and Brad and Janet, played by second year apprentices Vaughn Schmidt and Katherine Weatherford, engaged to be married, have a flat tire while driving in the rain on a dark night.  They seek help in a nearby castle.  It turns out to be the lair of a latter-day Frankenstein named Dr. Frank ‘N’ Furter (Fee Waybill).  Rather than the traditional mad scientist, though, this version is a visiting transvestite from Transylvania, with a wardrobe that rivals Frederick's of Hollywood.  The plot further unfolds to reveal that Dr. Frank-N-Furter is on the eve of bringing his gorgeous blond creation, Rocky, (mounting the Barn Theatre stage for the first time this season, Costume Designer Michael Wilson Morgan) to life.  The science fiction spoof  will also star Eric Parker as hunchbacked handyman Riff Raff,  and Sarah Dowling as the wench Magenta. ROCKY will also feature first year apprentice Kevin Alan Green as Eddie, Steven Lee Burright as the Narrator, and Gregg Rehrig as Doctor Scott.  Dedicated ROCKY HORROR fans are encouraged to come to the Barn in costume and dance "The Time Warp"-- BUT MUST PLEASE LEAVE ALL PROPS AT HOME!!

THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW is directed by Brendan Ragotzy and choreographed by Charlie Misovye and Lauran Stanis. Musical Direction by Troy Benton. Steven Lee Burright is Scenic Designer and Nettie Fischer designed costumes. Properties are designed by James B. Knox and Lighting is designed by Adam Levine. Michael McShane is Sound Designer and Technical Direction is by Fred Gillette. Garrylee McCormick is Hair/Wig Designer.

Performances are Tuesday through Friday at 8:30 PM, Saturday at 6:00 PM & 9:00 PM, and Sunday at 5:00 PM (possible added show Sunday 8:30 PM) all summer long! Refreshments are available in The Rehearsal Shed Lounge before, during intermission and after the show. Enjoy a light snack or beverage with friends while being entertained by the free cabaret-style show in the Rehearsal Shed Lounge after the main stage performance.

The Barn Theatre is located on M-96, west of Augusta.  Tickets are $29.00 for all performances and Visa and MasterCard are accepted. Group prices available. The box office is open daily 10:00 am-10:00 pm. For tickets or more information call (269) 731-4121.  www.barntheatre.com
