Cabaret

(Augusta, MI) The Barn Theatre is proud to present CABARET. "What a great show CABARET is and we are thrilled with the team we have working on this production," says producer Brendan Ragotzy.

"Life is a cabaret, old chum! Come to the cabaret!"

One of the most popular and most widely acclaimed musicals of the century, CABARET earned the New York Drama critics' Circle Award, a Tony Award, and an Outer Critics' Circle Award for Best Musical in 1967. The musical, set in Hitler's 1930s Nazi Germany, centers around the loveable, vulnerable Sally Bowles and her romance with a penniless American writer. CABARET, one of the best Broadway musicals of the 1960s, insidiously pulls the audience into the decadent social climate that gave rise to Nazism.

'Cabaret' is an exciting show!

The set is designed by Richard L. Haptonstall, the lighting is designed by Monique R. Norman and the costume design is by Judy Kazy-Garey. Sound is being designed by James Stephenson.
